RMIT Foundation Studies is a 1-year program that academically prepares the student for undergraduate study.

Preparation – Foundation
Minimum age: 17
High school education / appropriate academic background
There is no specific academic score requirement for Block 1.
English level is evaluated according to program requirements.
On successful completion, transfer to appropriate undergraduate programs can be made.
If sufficient success is not achieved, the student can continue to the appropriate Foundation Block or alternative pathway can use.
Undergraduate
High school diploma / Year 12 equivalent or accepted Foundation/Pathway
Mathematics, physics, chemistry etc. according to department. prerequisites may be available.
English: Usually IELTS 6.0–6.5; Varies depending on the department.
In some departments, an additional interview, aptitude test or portfolio may be required.
If the conditions are not met, re-preparation can be done through Foundation/Pathway.
If the English score is insufficient, there is a PEP (Pre-Enrolment English Program) option.
Master's Degree
Bachelor's degree in the relevant field
Specific GPA, department or work experience according to the program. requirements
English: Generally IELTS 6.5, higher in some departments.
Some programs may include an interview, portfolio or additional assessment.
If the requirements are not met, appropriate Graduate Certificate / Graduate Diploma / pathway options may be considered.
Pilotage
High school diploma / Year 12 equivalent
IELTS 6.5, minimum 6.0 in each section
To Bachelor There is no separate central entrance exam for entry.
Flight Aptitude Test Interview Aviation English Assessment is applied in the transition to professional flight training.
Also CASA Class 1 Medical is required.
The student who cannot be selected for flight training can continue the Bachelor of Aviation training but cannot complete their professional pilot license.
