St. Gilgen International School

St. Gilgen International School is located in St. Petersburg, on the shores of Lake Wolfgangsee, in the Salzburg region of Austria. It is an elite international boarding and day school located in the town of Gilgen. Founded in 2008, the school teaches English to students aged 9–18 and offers the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) and the IB Diploma Program (DP). The school, known for its small and boutique structure, has approximately 200-250 students and the student-teacher ratio is quite low, which strengthens individual attention and academic pursuit.

One of the most striking aspects of the school is its location in touch with nature. Located in the middle of the Alps, the campus makes outdoor activities such as skiing, sailing, trekking and mountain sports a part of the education culture. Academically, an IB-focused curriculum is followed and graduates often place at prestigious universities in Europe and the USA. The international student profile is strong; It offers a multicultural environment thanks to students from different countries.

In general, St. Gilgen International School stands out as a small-scale, elite and nature-based IB boarding school. Unlike big city campuses, it is a quieter, individual development-oriented institution and is considered in the "boutique boarding school" category.
