Certificate and Undergraduate (BA / HE) Admission Criteria

Educational Certificate: High School Diploma and Transcript (with English translation).

Portfolio / Artistic Works (Most Important Criterion):

For Music departments: Music pieces, demo/mix samples or sound projects produced by the candidate.

For Film/Acting departments: Short film projects, script samples, showreel or acting performance video.

Language Proficiency: English at least B2 Level (IELTS min. 6.0, TOEFL iBT min. 72 or Duolingo min. 100-105).

Interview: Online motivation and artistic perspective interview with the academic staff of the school.

Funkhaus Studios: Opportunity to work and record in the historic Funkhaus complex, one of the largest acoustic studios in the world.

Professional Equipment Use: SSL and Neve mixing consoles, vintage synthesizer collections, cinema-quality RED and ARRI cameras, lighting and VFX studios.

Catalyst is located in the historic Funkhaus complex in the Rummelsburg/Oberschöneweide district of Berlin, right on the banks of the River Spree.
