HTW Berlin (Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin) is a public university located in Berlin, Germany, focusing on applied education. University; It offers approximately 80 undergraduate and graduate programs in a wide range of fields such as business, engineering, computer science, design, culture, health, energy and environment, law, construction and real estate. The training model focuses on combining theoretical knowledge with practice, project work and industry connections. The university's two main campuses are Wilhelminenhof and Treskowallee. Education Periods
Undergraduate: Usually 6 or 7 semesters (3–3.5 years).
Master's Degree: Usually 3 or 4 semesters, depending on the program. (1.5–2 years).
Preparation Programs
German Language Preparation – HTW Foundation
HTW Berlin offers the HTW Foundation – PreDSH program for international students who want to prepare for programs teaching in German. The program aims to raise the level of German from B2 to C1 level and prepare the student for the DSH exam.
Program duration: 20 weeks
Beginner level: B2 German
Target level: C1
Program content: German, DSH preparation and academic study skills
Course intensity: 24 hours per week
Start: April and October
Program fee: 2.580 €
Students who do not have knowledge of German at B2 level cannot start this program directly.
Academic Preparation – Studienkolleg
Students whose high school diploma in Türkiye does not provide direct admission to university in Germany may be required to participate in the Studienkolleg program. HTW Berlin offers this preparatory education in cooperation with TU Berlin.
Program duration: 1 year / 2 semesters
T-Course: Preparation for engineering and technical fields
B-Course: Preparation for business, economics and similar fields
Language of instruction: German
For the beginning: At least B2 German
At the end of the program: Feststellungsprüfung (FSP)
When FSP is successfully completed: The academic qualification required for application to university education is obtained.
Application: Made through Uni-assist.
Important: Studienkolleg is not a course taken only for the purpose of learning a language. It is a formal preparatory education that enables the student to complete the academic qualification for university entrance in Germany.
Term Contribution Fee: Approximately 315 € - 350 € per semester. (This fee includes Berlin public transport ticket-Semesterticket).
Average Monthly Cost of Living: For Berlin, an average of 950 € – 1,200 €, including accommodation, insurance and personal expenses.
Undergraduate Applications:
NC (Numerus Clausus): Many undergraduate departments have quota restrictions and GPA thresholds.

State Student Dormitories
Monthly Fee: Approximately 250 € – 450 € (All included: Heating, electricity, internet).
Waiting Time: Due to the extreme demand for dormitories, waiting lists can be long (it may take 6 months to 1 year).
Student Shared Houses
Monthly Fee: Average 450 € – 800 € depending on room size and district. (Warmmiete - all expenses included).
Private / Furnished Student Dormitories
Monthly Fee: Approximately 600 € – 1.100 €
