Srh University Of Applied Sciences General Information About

SRH University admission requirements vary according to the bachelor’s or master’s programme chosen, the language of instruction and the applicant’s previous academic background. Applications are assessed individually, and meeting the general entry conditions does not guarantee an offer.

An SRH University application usually includes a diploma, transcript, passport, CV and proof of language proficiency. Depending on the programme, a motivation letter, reference letter, portfolio, proof of work experience or another academic qualification may also be required. After reviewing the application file, the university may invite suitable candidates to an online interview or a programme-specific selection process.

**SRH University bachelor’s admission requirements**

Applicants to SRH University bachelor’s programmes must hold a valid academic qualification that allows them to start university studies in Germany.

Documents typically assessed for a bachelor’s application include:

- a 12-year high school diploma
- high school transcript
- a valid passport or ID
- an up-to-date CV
- English or German language proficiency
- a motivation letter, depending on the programme
- a YKS exam result or placement document, if applicable
- a portfolio or talent work for creative programmes

**Applying to SRH University from Turkey**

For students applying from Turkey to SRH University bachelor’s programmes, university entrance eligibility is reviewed separately. The type of high school diploma, length of study, subjects taken, academic performance and, where relevant, the YKS result can all affect the assessment.

Holding a 12-year high school diploma alone does not mean automatic admission for every applicant. Whether a YKS result or placement document is required must be checked according to the diploma and the chosen programme. Until the document requirement is confirmed, a general statement such as “YKS is sufficient only as an entrance document” should not be used.

**SRH University English language requirements**

Accepted tests and minimum scores for English-taught programmes at SRH University can vary by programme. Some programmes may require scores such as:

- IELTS Academic: at least 6.5
- TOEFL iBT: at least 87
- equivalent English certificates accepted by the university

These scores should not be treated as a single requirement for all SRH University programmes. In some programmes, B2 level may be sufficient, or the university may offer its own English proficiency test. The official programme page should be checked before applying.

For German-taught programmes, C1-level German is generally expected. Accepted certificates may include Goethe, TestDaF, telc or equivalent exams, depending on the programme.

**SRH University portfolio and interview process**

Creative programmes such as design, film, media, architecture and music may require a portfolio, video work or a talent assessment. Portfolio content and the number of works are not the same in every department. For example, some film programmes ask applicants to submit their own creative work, while architecture programmes may request a more comprehensive design portfolio.

Applicants whose academic documents are suitable may be invited to an online admissions interview to assess programme fit and motivation. This interview is not applied in the same format across all programmes.

**SRH University master’s admission requirements**

Applicants to SRH University master’s programmes are generally asked for:

- a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or a field accepted by the programme
- a bachelor’s transcript
- usually at least 180 or 210 ECTS
- a valid passport or ID
- an up-to-date CV
- a motivation letter
- English or German language proficiency
- a reference letter, depending on the programme
- a portfolio or proof of work experience where required

The duration and admission conditions of a master’s programme may depend on the ECTS value of the completed bachelor’s degree. Some programmes may require specific undergraduate courses, a minimum GPA or professional work experience. In design, architecture, media and music, a portfolio or artistic work may be required.
