Master's Degree Admission Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree from a relevant field (equivalent to 180 or 240 ECTS).

English proficiency certificate (IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL iBT 85).

For some MBA or consensus programs, minimum 1-2 years of relevant work. experience.

Academic Preparation (Studienkolleg)

It is a 1-year (2 semester) academic bridge program that is compulsory in Germany for students whose high school diploma is not directly equivalent to the German high school graduation diploma (Abitur).

Purpose: Depending on the department chosen by the student, it is in the field of mathematics, economics or science. to strengthen the infrastructure and provide academic German.

Scope: Students who pass the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP) exam at the end of the program are entitled to proceed to undergraduate education.

Entrance Requirement: At least B1 / B2 level German and success in the entrance exam (Aufnahmetest).

Steinbeis Status: Since Steinbeis is a private university, direct admission to English undergraduate programs (Foundation Year/Intensive) Pathway) opportunity. However, if a German state university equivalence is aimed, the Studienkolleg route is followed.

Language Prep / Pre-Sessional

These are intensive language courses organized for candidates who have not yet reached the language level (English or German) required by the university.

English Preparation: Candidates with insufficient IELTS / TOEFL scores (for example, against the IELTS 6.0 requirement). Intensive English preparatory training lasting 1 to 2 semesters is given for those who are at 5.0/5.5 level).

German Preparation (Pre-Sessional German): Students who will apply to German departments but have not yet reached the TestDaF or DSH level receive intensive language training from A2/B1 level to C1 level.

Master's Preparation (Pre-Master / Propädeutikum)

Undergraduate It is applied to candidates who have a diploma but cannot fully meet the credit (ECTS) or field requirements (e.g. lack of business or statistics credit) of the master's program they are applying for.

Duration: Generally 1 semester (3-6 months).

Content: Basic methodology, academic writing, research techniques and completion of missing field courses.

Preparation Fees: Language and academic preparation programs within a private institution are periodic / annual. It can vary between €4,000 – €9,000.
