Basic Information about the University of Stuttgart
Founded in 1829, the University of Stuttgart is a well-known research university located in Stuttgart, Germany. The University has a rich history dating back to the Karlsschule, Stuttgart's first university, operating from 1770 to 1794. However, the university known today as the University of Hohenheim is not affiliated with the University of Stuttgart, except for some joint projects. In 1876, due to the increasing importance of technical sciences and education in these fields, the name of the university was changed to Technische Hochschule Stuttgart (Stuttgart Institute of Technology). In 1900, the university was granted the right to award doctoral degrees in technical disciplines. The university was renamed "Universität Stuttgart" in 1967 and its curricula were expanded to include new fields such as the history of science and technology and the social sciences. Since the late 1950s the university has been split between two campuses; Most of the technical subjects are taught on the Stuttgart-Vaihingen campus, while the humanities, social sciences, architecture and related subjects are taught on the campus in the city centre. University of Stuttgart Application and Admission Requirements
If you are considering applying to the University of Stuttgart or to a university in Germany in general, remember that there are some important admission requirements that you should be aware of. International students applying to universities in Germany are required to prove that they have sufficient language skills when they apply to German undergraduate programs.

The application window for German study programs offered at the University of Stuttgart closes on 15 July each year for limited enrollment study programs and on 15 September each year for unlimited enrollment study programs for the winter semester (subject to change). The relevant dates for the summer semester were January 15 and April 15 of each year, depending on the curriculum or the starting period (may vary). For the first academic semester (Undergraduate study programme), you can only apply for the winter semester.

It is also very important to remember that there may be special admission conditions and different application deadlines for postgraduate education programs in Germany, especially for international master's programs. These requirements are set out in the admissions regulations and on the web pages of each study programme. Some training programs have specific admission requirements that you should be aware of.
