IBS, or International Business School Budapest, has come a long way since its founding in 1991. It was originally located in rented rooms near the Kelenföldi train station, but has now become a leading institution offering a true campus experience in the second district of Budapest. In 2014, it made a significant move to the north of Budapest and now offers students state-of-the-art facilities in a vibrant business environment in three brand new buildings in Grafisoft Park. Thanks to having a continuous and systematic development process since the first day of its establishment, IBS has become a well-known private college in Hungary and is entitled to award Hungarian college degrees as well as English degrees. Following successful institutional accreditation in 1997, it became eligible to award Hungarian college degrees, today called Bachelor degrees. The first degrees were awarded in 1995; The number of IBS graduates by 2012 exceeded 3300. Our graduates can be found in almost every country in the world, providing great networking opportunities. To maintain this 'human' capital, IBS sees the Alumni Community as a top priority and organizes monthly Alumni Evenings. We can proudly say that almost one in three graduates are Alumni members, which is a very high rate considering that almost every P comes from abroad.
