Alpadıa - Summer Camp

Alpadia's language camps in Germany offer young people not only education in foreign languages ??but also the opportunity to experience different cultures, gain prosperity, and have a wonderful summer adventure. Held in Frankfurt-Lahntal, Freiburg, Berlin-Wannsee, and Heidelberg, these camps create a captivating atmosphere with an international student community.

Each camp offers the same high standards of education, while the geographical features of the locations provide a wide variety of German options:

Training programs are designed to maximize students' practical use skills in all four cities. The programs, offered in two main categories: Standard and Intensive, are taught with a modern and communication-oriented method:

• Standard Program (20 Lessons per Week): This program, given in the morning, focuses on strengthening the basic structures of the language (grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing). It provides the opportunity to practice the language in a natural environment, as the afternoons are devoted entirely to activities and exploring the city.
• Intensive Program (25 Lessons per Week): It is a special study hour of 5 lessons added to the standard program. In these additional lessons, students often focus on pronunciation, everyday language use, or special projects. It is ideal for students who set a rapid development goal for themselves.
• Common Education Approach: Classes in all cities have a maximum of 12 people. Lessons don't just stay in the classroom; Teachers adopt the philosophy of "learning by doing" by taking lessons to the city's museums, markets or streets.

Frankfurt-Lahntal

Daily Routine

Morning

• 08:00: Breakfast

• 09:00 – 12:30: German Lessons (Standard course is typically 20 lessons per week).

• 12:30: Lunch

Afternoon

• 14:00: Activities or Excursions (Sports, city exploration, or sightseeing tours).

Evening

• 18:00: Dinner

• 19:30: Evening Entertainment (Student parties, games, movies, etc.).

At Alpadia, the real adventure begins at the end of the lesson. Activities are customized according to the spirit of the city, allowing students to both burn off their energy and practice German while having fun:

• Sports and Nature Activities: Nature walks and bicycle tours on the unique Black Forest (Schwarzwald) paths stand out in Freiburg; Volleyball, swimming and water sports by the lake in Berlin-Wannsee are part of the daily routine. In Frankfurt and Heidelberg, tennis, football and basketball tournaments are organized on campus or in city parks.
• Cultural Discoveries: While visiting the historical castle and walking on the Philosophers' Path in Heidelberg; In Berlin, students touch the historical fabric of the capital (Brandenburg Gate, ruins of the Berlin Wall). Visits to the modern Goethe Museum and Städel Museum in Frankfurt; In Freiburg, ecological city tours on sustainable living are organized.
• Social Evening Activities: In the evenings, a common movie night, quiz (quiz) organizations, barbecue parties or social gathering hours with light music are organized in all camps.
• Weekend Excursions: Each city organizes half-day or full-day trips to the historical and touristic points around it. (Ex: going to Europa-Park, Europe's largest theme park, from Freiburg or visiting Potsdam from Berlin).

Alpadia offers accommodation with high security standards for young students in the concept of "a second home away from home". Although the focus varies according to the architecture and campus structures of the cities, the common basic features are:

Common Standards: Accommodation in all cities is in the "Dormitory (Residence)" format. Students usually stay in rooms for 2 to 4 people. The rooms are decorated ergonomically and comfortably; Bathrooms and toilets are located either within the room or on the same floor for common use. Camp staff are available 24/7 in the dormitories, and meals (morning, lunch, and evening) are provided as full board in the dormitory dining halls.

Accommodation Dynamics by Cities:

• Berlin-Wannsee: Dormitory buildings located in nature, close to the lake, on a large and spacious campus area. It attracts attention with its wide open air areas.
• Freiburg: It is a building with wooden and warm architecture, close to the forest. It offers a peaceful campus environment intertwined with nature.
• Heidelberg: It has a friendly environment, decorated with the classical and traditional German dormitory concept, in line with the history of the region, which is an old university city.
• Frankfurt-Lahntal: It stands out with its proximity to the city center and modern infrastructure. It offers a modern dormitory experience that appeals more to the comfort of "urban life".
