Alpadıa - Summer Camp

Engelberg camp operates in a private school (Stiftsschule Engelberg) located 1,000 meters above sea level, in one of Switzerland's most popular and charming mountain resorts. The camp takes place in the restored historical building of a 12th-century Benedictine monastery; It attracts attention with its spacious classrooms, large sports fields and special areas for students to socialize. Appealing to students between the ages of 10-17, the camp offers the opportunity to study in German or English in an international environment (especially Western European).

• Age Range: 10 - 17 years.
• Capacity: Maximum 15 students per class.
• Campus: Lessons, dining hall and accommodation are under the same roof.

It offers three different program options according to the students' levels and goals:

• Standard Program (20 Lessons per Week): Focuses on the basic structures of the language (grammar, vocabulary).
  Lesson Hours: Between 08:30 - 11:45 in the morning.
• Intensive Program (25 Lessons per Week): In addition to standard lessons, it includes special study hours in the afternoons.
  Lesson Hours: 08:30 - 12:30.
• Private Lessons (Private - 5 Lessons per Week): Offers one-on-one lessons in addition to the Standard or Intensive program.

Note: The camp is "Bilingual"; communication and instructions during the camp program can be given in English or German depending on the structure of the students and staff.

Activities include both sports and cultural exploration using the unique nature of the Alps.

• Regular Sports and Nature Activities:
  Football, street hockey, basketball, handball, baseball, dodgeball. Swimming in an indoor pool. Nature hike, Ultimate frisbee.

• Cultural and Local Discoveries: Titlis Cliff Walk: Visit to the highest suspension bridge in Europe. Engelberg City and Monastery Tour: Exploring the historic 12th century monastery.
• Tobogganing: Fun gliding activities.
• Touch Arts and Crafts (Arts): Texture art, tape art, etc.
• Weekend Excursions: Full day or half day to the cities of Lucerne, Zurich, Bern and Interlaken excursions are arranged.

Premium (Additional Fee) Activities:

• Mountain biking, Via Ferrata (Rail climbing), Adventure park.
• Amusement Park: Switzerland's largest water park Alpamare (On Sundays, only available for students staying for more than 1 week or for extra overnight reservations).
• Tennis: At the local tennis centre, indoor court (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday). Afternoon activities).

A safe and comfortable accommodation service is offered for students with the concept of "a second home away from home".

• Room Type: Generally twin or single rooms. Rooms have sinks; bathrooms are for shared use on the floors (a bathroom is available in the room in a building).
• Facilities:
  Bed linens are provided.
  Classrooms, dining hall and accommodation are in the same area.
  Large indoor and outdoor sports fields are available.
  Free WiFi is available in central public areas.
• Services:
  Meals: Full board (morning, lunch, evening) Swiss cuisine.
  Laundry Service: Once a week for a fee. is done (starting from the 2nd week). Laundry is picked up on Wednesday and delivered on Friday (Fee: 20 CHF per kg).
  Cleaning: Bathrooms are cleaned daily and rooms are cleaned weekly.
