Academic Preparation (Studienkolleg Bochum - T-Kurs)
If your 12-year high school diploma and YKS result in Turkey do not directly provide equivalence for starting a bachelor's degree (if you lack academic equivalence):

Complete Application Requirements:
12-year high school diploma and transcript.
ÖSYM YKS Placement Document (being placed in a 4-year formal undergraduate program).
German Language Proficiency: A German language certificate (Goethe, telc or TestDaF) at least B1/B2 level must be submitted at the time of application.
Entrance Exam (Aufnahmetest): Candidates who pass the German and Mathematics exams held in Bochum are accepted to 1-year education.
B. German Language Preparation (Conditional Admission)
Ruhr-Universität Bochum offers conditional admission to candidates whose language level is insufficient but who meet the academic admission requirements.
Complete Application Requirements:
High School Diploma YKS Certificate (for Undergraduate) or Equivalent Undergraduate Diploma (for Master).
German Language Proficiency: German language document at at least B1 level at the time of application. must be submitted.
Undergraduate (Bachelor) Application Requirements
Undergraduate programs generally last 3 years (6 semesters) and the language of instruction is mainly German.
YKS Requirement: Candidates applying from Türkiye must take the YKS exam and be placed in a 4-year undergraduate program (ÖSYM Placement Certificate). You can apply for the department you are enrolled in or an equivalent field under the same faculty.

Grade Point Average and Quota (NC): In departments such as Medicine, Psychology and Business Administration. quota restriction (NC) applies; In many engineering and natural sciences, candidates who meet the application requirements can be directly accepted.
Master's Application Conditions
Master's education lasts 2 years (4 semesters). RUB has a number of international master's programs offered in English, especially in informatics, engineering and science (e.g. IT-Security, Computational Engineering, Lasers and Photonics, Molecular Sciences).
Undergraduate Graduation: A recognized 4-year bachelor's degree directly related to the applied field and a strong transcript.
Curriculum and Credit Compliance: RUB attaches critical importance to the credits and content compatibility of courses taken in the undergraduate degree.
Language. Proficiency:
For English Master Programs: IELTS Academic (min. 6.5) or TOEFL iBT (min. 85-90).
For German Master Programs: TestDaF (4x4) or DSH-2 document.
