The Institute of Education in Dublin is one of Ireland’s largest private secondary schools, established in 1969. It is a fee-paying, independent school that does not receive government funding, and therefore operates outside of the national public school system. This allows it to focus on a highly results-oriented and flexible academic environment.
The school specializes in preparing students for the Irish Leaving Certificate and offers access to other academic pathways including Cambridge IGCSEs and intensive exam preparation (“grinds”). With a strong record of progression to universities in Ireland, the UK, and elsewhere, it has become one of the most respected private 6th form institutions in the country.
