Daugavpils University is a state-supported higher education institution located in Daugavpils, Latvia, founded in 1921. The largest regional university in the east of the country, Daugavpils University was originally established to train teachers, but today it provides education and research in a variety of fields, including science, social sciences, linguistics, arts, and management. The university offers five faculties and over 50 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. It also has a strong research infrastructure in biology, environmental sciences, linguistics, history, economics, psychology, and arts. Daugavpils University offers international student exchange opportunities through the Erasmus+ program and cooperates with European Union structures.
