Adelaide University was established in 2026 by the merger of two well-established universities in Australia, the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia. The Bachelor of Aviation (Pilot) program was developed to prepare students for a professional airline pilot career. The program combines theoretical aviation training with real flight and simulator training. Training is carried out at Mawson Lakes Campus and Parafield Airport flight facilities.

Preparatory Program

-Duration: 8 or 12 months (depending on the student's academic level)

Who Can Participate?

-Students whose high school grade point average is not sufficient for direct admission

-Students whose English level is insufficient

-Students applying from countries whose education system is not equivalent to the Australian high school system

-IELTS 6.5 score is required for direct admission to the pilot program. Students who cannot provide this score are placed in the preparatory program according to their English level.

-Students who cannot provide this score can apply to the Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) preparatory program with at least IELTS 5.0 (provided that they meet the university's band score requirements). powered aircraft training

A recognized Foundation Having successfully completed the (Preparatory) Program

Vocational education diploma with Certificate IV (AQF Level 4) or above

Having completed at least 6 months of full-time university education (or equivalent)

Students applying from Türkiye are generally accepted in one of the following ways:

Health requirement

No special health requirement is required for the first 2 years of the department.
However, before starting flight training (Graduate Diploma in Aviation), it is mandatory to obtain a Class 1 Medical Certificate approved by CASA (Australian Civil Aviation Authority) (within the last 3 years). If Class 1 is available, Class 2 is also acceptable).
This certificate is issued by an authorized DAME (Designated Aviation Medical Examiner); vision, hearing, general health, heart, etc. It covers many criteria. It is necessary to have a certificate that does not contain restrictions (which will not prevent completion of the program).
